How does SnotShot analyze my samples?

SnotShot uses advanced AI image analysis to examine your mucus samples. When you take or select a photo, it's securely uploaded to our servers where our AI evaluates properties like color, texture, viscosity, and particulate density. Results are returned within seconds.

Is SnotShot a medical app?

No. SnotShot is designed for entertainment and curiosity purposes only. While we provide fun "wellness tips" based on your sample analysis, these should NOT be used for medical diagnosis or treatment. If you have health concerns, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.

How do credits work?

Each analysis uses one credit. New users receive free credits to try the app. When you run out, you can purchase additional credits through in-app purchases. Credits never expire and are tied to your device.

What are Booger Mode and Phlegm Mode?

SnotShot offers two analysis modes optimized for different types of mucus specimens. Booger Mode is tuned for nasal specimens, while Phlegm Mode is designed for respiratory/throat specimens. Each mode uses AI models specifically trained for that sample type.

How does the leaderboard work?

After receiving your analysis, you can optionally share your specimen to the public leaderboard. Other users can upvote or downvote entries. Separate leaderboards exist for Boogers and Phlegm. You can delete your submissions at any time from your history.

Are my photos stored?

Photos submitted for analysis are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored unless you choose to submit them to the public leaderboard. Your analysis history is saved locally on your device and can be cleared at any time.

What do the rarity tiers mean?

Our AI assigns rarity tiers based on how unusual your specimen's characteristics are. Tiers range from Common to Legendary. Rarer specimens typically have unusual colors, textures, or combinations of properties that make them stand out.

I purchased credits but they didn't appear. What do I do?

First, try closing and reopening the app. If credits still don't appear, tap the credit counter to open the purchase screen - this will attempt to restore your purchases. If issues persist, please contact us with your purchase receipt.
