SNOT ANALYSIS, EXPLAINED
Curious about what you’re looking at?
A photo can capture appearance. It cannot tell you whether you have an infection. Our guides explain the difference between playful AI scanning, keeping a photo collection, and medical questions.
Before your first scan
What is SnotShot?
SnotShot (sometimes searched as “snot shot”) is an iPhone booger scanner and photo log. It creates funny AI comments and rarity scores, with saved scans and shareable cards.
Is SnotShot free?
The app is free to download, with in-app purchases available. See the App Store listing and the app for current purchase options.
Can SnotShot diagnose an infection or allergies?
No. AI photo descriptions and scores are for entertainment. They cannot identify pathogens, diagnose a condition, or tell you which treatment you need.
Does it work on Android or in a browser?
SnotShot is an iPhone app requiring iOS 26.2 or later. This website has guides; scanning happens in the iOS app.
What happens to my photos?
Photos submitted for AI analysis are processed by our service providers. Review the privacy policy before uploading, and avoid including identifying details in anything you share.
Designed for the curious
AI-Powered Analysis
AI generates estimates of color, texture, viscosity, and visible particles for entertainment. These are not laboratory measurements.
Rarity Tiers
Scans get playful rarity labels — Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, or Legendary. Tiers are entertainment labels, not measured population statistics.
Track Trends
Revisit saved samples and compare AI-generated descriptions over time. The app cannot establish health causes or conditions.
